NiceDCV is built and owned by AWS. It's a lot more reliable on AWS because it is essentially built for it. However, if you want to play on your phone or a low powered device, the web client doesn't work all too well. The other downside is that it's a bit tricky plugging in an external device, like a controller. However, if you want to use a webcam or microphone, it's pretty much automatic.
The picture quality is like Open-stream with mild compression artifacts and audio is sampled at 7.1, so you can use an advanced audio system. Plus, there's almost no latency!
Anyway, I usually choose Open-stream because of Moonlight for the Raspberry PI and my Chromebook. I use it every once and a while for gaming, and it works great!
By the way, NiceDCV is free for all AWS instances.
